Doris K. (Koslicki) Teichmeier, 73, of Lincoln, died unexpectedly on August 22, 2013. She was born on November 6, 1939 in Loup City Nebraska to Julius and Maggie (Grabowski) Koslicki. She grew up in Ashton. Doris attended school at Sherman County District 20 and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1956. Following graduation, she taught country school in the rural Ravenna area.
Doris married Jared F. Teichmeier on July 24, 1958 at Fort Riley, Kansas and they recently celebrated their 55th anniversary. Together they raised a large and loving family: Son: Greg (Lori) Teichmeier, Lincoln; daughters; Dodie (Randy) Grachek, Atlanta, GA, Katherine (Harlan) Opie, Olathe, KS, Andrea (Mark) Keim, Lincoln; grandchildren, Nicole (Andy) Janssen, Tiffany Teichmeier (fiancé Austin Young), Jared, Neil and Kellen Grachek, Tristan and Eden Opie, Joel, Eva, Lily and Evan Keim; great grandchildren, Bella Slattery and Harper Janssen. Doris also enjoyed a large extended family of in laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Doris was a homemaker and also held many part time jobs, her favorite was as a florist at Fields Floral. She was a member and deaconess of Rosemont Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, an Honorary Lifetime Member of the PTA and an active participant in the OLLI educational program. Doris was a naturalist who loved animals, especially her cats, and enjoyed her beautiful plants, flowers and gardens. Most of all, she was a selfless, loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandma and neighborhood caregiver.
She is survived by her husband, immediate family and sister, Goldie Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; 1 sister and 1 nephew.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday (8-26-13) Rosemont Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 2600 N. 70th with Pastor Tim Majorins officiating.

Visitation: 2-8 pm Sunday with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St. and one hour prior to service time at the church.
