Doris Eva Latrom, died on January 17, 2015 in Lincoln. She was born on March 31, 1918 on her parent’s farm near Prairie Home to Bertha Bendix and Francis C. Munn. Doris attended Rokeby Elementary School and graduated from the Teachers College High School in Lincoln.
After high school, she attended secretarial school in Lincoln. She married Vernon Latrom in 1942. Before she retired, she worked as a secretary at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was an avid genealogist, gardener, and Eastridge Presbyterian Stephen Minister.
Family members are daughter and son-in law, Jean and Larry Schulze, daughter Joyce Latrom, and granddaughters, Lisa Schulze and Amy Schulze. She had two older sisters, Edna and Jessie, that preceded her in death.
Memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday (1-26-15) at Roper and Sons chapel, 4300 “0” Street. Pastor Melodie Jones Pointon officiating.
