Dennis Leslie Nelson, 81, Lincoln, passed away April 6, 2019. Born September 21, 1937 in Holdrege, NE. U.S. Army Veteran. Ret. Building Superintendent for Lincoln Public Schools.
Dennis was a member of the Southview Christian Church and American Legion Post #3.
Family members include his wife Elenor; daughters and sons-in-law Carla and Steve Holloway; Diane and Tom Pluhacek, grandchildren , Robin Holloway, Kelli Holloway, Camryn Nelson, Matthew (Brenna) Pluhacek, and Erin Pluhacek all of Lincoln; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bob and Norma Johnson, Lincoln, Jerry and Eileen Jurgensen, Gibbon, and John Miller, Hickman; several nieces and nephews; special friends Bob and Judy Kirkpatrick, Aurora. Preceded in death by his son Mark Nelson; parents-in-law Carl and Irene Scheierman; sister-in-law Donna Miller.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday (4-11-19) Southview Christian Church, 2040 South 22nd Street with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant officiating.
