Delores “Elaine” (Young) Poland, 82, of Lincoln, died (12-31-13). Born (6-21-31) in Custer County, NE to Glen and Blanche (Lloyd) Young. Retired Clerk for several local businesses. Member of Capitol City Christian Church. Also, was active in the Second Baptist Church. Volunteered at BryanLGH Medical Center, the Lied Center and Encounter Center at Morrill Hall.

Family members include daughter, Joey (Roger) Fletcher; son, John Poland, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, David (Katie) Fletcher, Lincoln, Sarah Fletcher, Chicago, IL, Daniel (Emily) Fletcher, Seattle, WA, Jonathan and Jonah Poland, Minneapolis, MN; several great-grandchildren; niece, Dixie Bonczynski and many other nieces and nephews; brothers, Ed Young, Bob (Jeannie) Young, Larry (Patsy) Young; sisters, Yvonne Osborn, and Cherilyn (Kieth) Mason; sisters-in-law, Marcella Young, Clydia Young, Joan Young, and Helen Young. Preceded in death by parents, son, Mikel, brothers, Walter, Earl, Loyd and infant brother Dale, sisters, Donna Swope and Glennola Brewer, brothers-in-law, Dick Osborn and Bill Brewer.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 am Saturday (2-22-14) Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege. Burial will be on Thursday (2-27-14) in the Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, NE.

Memorials to the Capitol City Christian Church or Deaf Missions. Visitation one hour prior to service time at the church.
