David Peter Keyzer

January 9, 1986 - February 8, 2010

David Peter Keyzer, 24, Lincoln, died Monday (2-8-10). Born (1-9-86) in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Sam and Karen (Russcher) Keyzer. Information Technologist, Dialysis Center of Lincoln.

David was a unique and brilliant person with a wide variety of interests, including camping, kayaking, unicycling, random road trips, Washington Huskies, Seattle Mariners, geocashing, music, computers, and grilling on the front porch. David was an avid reader with special interests in history, politics, and poverty. He was a committed family member and friend, always available to hang out and help out.

Family members include parents; brother, sister-in-law: Jonathan and Anna Keyzer; sisters, brothers-in-law: Rachel and Matt Birchett, Beth and Jeff Heerspink, Lydia and Jared Shearer, all of Lincoln; niece: Abigail; nephews: Josiah and Caleb; grandparents: Peter and Mae Keyzer, Zeeland, MI, Glenn and Dorothy Russcher, Holland, MI; numerous aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by cousins, Daniel and Caleb Russcher.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday (2-13-10) Capitol City Christian Church,7800 Holdrege Street.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to Kiva – an organization that offers start-up loans to alleviate poverty or Compassion International – releasing children from poverty in third world countries through healthcare and education.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
