David worked for Lincoln Public Schools as a custodian, retiring after 27 years.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, Rita; daughters Kristen Hess and LeAnne White; sons Lonnie and Chad White; grandchildren Gage Callaway, Heather Zimmerman, Katherine and Sarah White; many great grandchildren; sisters Becky Picolet and Karen Collins; sister-in-law Norma Jean White; brother-in-law Fred Gritz; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son Matthew; brothers Marvin, Robert, Eldon, Leslie, Eugene, and Sam; sisters Mary Scheele, Verna Clement, and Betty Gritz; brothers- in-law Dana Clement, Dean Picolet, Leonard Collins, Don Scheele; sister-in-law Mary Lou White, Corky White; nephews Greg Scheele, Michael Scheele, Larry Gritz, and Rick White,
