David J. Arndt, 74, of Lincoln passed away May 12, 2025. Born August 4, 1950, in Broken Bow, NE to Harold and Helen (Henthorn) Arndt.

David grew up in Broken Bow, NE where he attended high school. He moved to Hastings to work with two of his brothers in the electrical field where he learned the trade. He then moved to Colorado for career opportunities.

David began his career with ABC Electric (Hastings, NE) and retired from Gregory Electric in Colorado. Following his retirement, he bought an RV and enjoyed many years traveling the states and living the RV life.

David moved to Lincoln, NE in 2022 to be closer to his family. Family members include his children Rebecca (Curtis) Luethke, Seward, Julie (Jimmy) Pettiford, Lincoln, David Arndt II, Clarksville, AR, Meghan (Eric) Benes, Lincoln, and Krista Arndt, Johnstown, CO; grandchildren Holly Shearer, Lincoln, Khyree (Addie) Pettiford, Lincoln, Nickolas Shearer, Lincoln, Katelyn Benes, Tampa, FL, Matthew Arndt, Milford, Noah and Mason Benes, Lincoln; great granddaughter Allison Mountford, Lincoln, and great granddaughter on the way Stevie Pettiford; sisters Judi Rhodes, Beverly Rowland, Debbie Coleman, Patti Yarrington; brother Robert (Donna) Arndt; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharon Arndt and brother Gary Arndt.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Details to come later.
