Daniel D. Kahler

August 29, 1943 - March 5, 2022

Daniel D. Kahler, Sr., 78, Of Lincoln passed away March 5, 2022. Born August 29, 1943, to Daniel J. and Ruby (Rankin) Kahler.

The second of four children, two girls and two boys. Dan lived most of his life in Lincoln. He married Gloria Jean Schwartz on September 28, 1971. To this union were born three girls and two boys.

Dan served in the U. S. Army for ten years and the U.S. Air Force for eleven years. He retired after twenty-one years in the service. Dan was a lifetime member of the VFW 131, DAV #7, George Washington Lodge #250, A.F. & A.M. Following his service career Dan worked for the Veterans Administration for twenty-five years.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and an infant daughter.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (3-14-22) Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 “O” Street.

Dan & I were in voc ag. at LNEhs we became life long buddies in school. I will always be thankful that I got to talk to Dan one more time. I will always remember when Dan & his family came out to Loveland Co. &spent the weekend with my family. We went to Estes Park on Sat. & played tourist. Dan & I had alot of fun in school. I will never forget my lifelong friend. I look forward to seeing Dan again in Gods heavenly kingdom.
