Dale W. Ebers, MD, 87, Lincoln, passed away April 23, 2017. Born June 21, 1929 in Beaver Crossing, NE to Walter and Phoebe (Scott) Ebers. Ret. Pediatrician with Lincoln Pediatric Group.
Dale was a member of First Evangelical Covenant Church, past president Lancaster County Medical Society, Nebraska Chapter of the American Medical Associations, past chairman Nebraska Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics, past chief of staff at Lincoln General Hospital, past board member of Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, past member of Executive Club, and served as medical director for Nebraska Crippled Children’s Services.
Dale loved fishing, gardening, traveling, and Husker sports.
Family members include daughter Julie Ebers Timme and son-in-law Bob; son Doug Ebers and daughter-in-law Mary Fogel Ebers; daughter Barbara Ebers Person and son-in-law Scott Burger; daughter Lizabeth (Beth) Ebers Truesdale and son-in-law Steve Truesdale; son Mark Ebers and daughter-in-law Cathy Tangeman Ebers; and daughter Jill Ebers Dolberg and son-in-law Darin Dolberg. Survivors also include 24 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria and sister, Maxine Scully.
