Cynthia R. Sawyer, 49, Hong Kong, joined her beloved parents Paul and Joan Berg in heaven Friday, March 7, 2008. She leaves her loving husband of 20 years Greg and her cherished children Brittany and Kerrick. Cyndi was born in Lincoln, Nebraska.
A Concordia College graduate, she was a dedicated, life-long educator who lived and taught with the strong belief in the life and love of Jesus Christ. Her life as a teacher and minister’s spouse took Cyndi to live in Michigan, California, Montana, Alaska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Hong Kong where she and her family resided for the past seven years. Cynthia is deeply missed by her brothers Mark, Mike, and Steven, her sister-in-laws Michelle and Debbie, her nieces Melanie and Amanda, her nephews Matthew and Joshua, and her extended family, friends and students who she touched with her glowing smile and infectious laugh.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pleasant Dale with internment to follow at Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
Visitation beginning 3:00 p.m.Tuesday with family greeting friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St.
