Craig Allen Mannschreck was born December 7, 1951 to Eldon and Marilyn (Floerke) Mannschreck in Nebraska City.
In 1965, he was confirmed at the United Methodist church in Burr. Craig spent the early years of his life living in the Burr and Talmage areas. Craig attended District 41 near Cook through the 5th grade and attended Burr Elementary School District 101, graduating 8th grade in 1966. He attended Nemaha Valley High School at Cook graduating in 1970. In that same year he enlisted in the Air National Guard in Lincoln serving until honorable discharged in 1976. He was united in marriage with LeAnn Morris making their home in Talmage in 1974. To this union, two children were born, Lindsay & Adam.
Craig worked for the Farmer’s Cooperative in Talmage. In 1982, Craig began employment with the Benedict Farmers Coop in Benedict and moving his family to make their home in Stromsburg. Through the years, he continued employment with Coop going through many different name changes and mergers. He also spent time working in Utica as the United Coop Station Manager. In 2006, he retired working from Coop and began working as the Office Manager of Utica Parts & Service where he worked until he retired in June of 2020. Craig loved his job and his relationships with his co-workers and customers. Craig was always a loyal employee and had an exemplary work ethic.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg. He also was a member of American Legion Post 246 in Talmage since 1970.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially the time spent with his beloved grandchildren. He also enjoyed wonderful trips with friends to Colorado (numerous ski trips), Caribbean destinations, Washington DC, Las Vegas, and others too many to mention.
Craig was passionate about his acreage home near Lincoln, enjoying the area and making new friends in the neighborhood.
Survivors include his wife, LeAnn; daughter, Lindsay (Scott) Theisen; son, Adam (Candyce) Mannschreck; grandchildren, Kyler, Callie, and Harper; mother, Marilyn Mannschreck; sister, Cynthia (Charles) Doeden, Eldon Jr. (Marilyn) Mannschreck, Brian (Tonia) Mannschreck; brother-in-law, Don (Mary) Morris; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and special puppy pal, Ellie Mae. Preceded in death by his father, Eldon and brothers Walter and Lowell.
Craig passed away on December 21, 2020 in Lincoln Nebraska at the age of 69 years 14 days.
A private Celebration of Life service will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11 am at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel 3950 Hohensee Dr. (For family and close friends) limited seating due to Covid-19.

In lieu of visitation, a book signing will be available Sunday December 27 from 3-5 pm at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg or Faith Lutheran Church in Talmage.
