Constance (Connie) R. Jones, 69, Lincoln, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on January 3, 2017.
She spent the majority of her adulthood working as a cook, from her time at Sacred Heart School, nursing homes, and most recently before her retirement at the Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) house at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Connie loved playing bingo, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was quick to laugh and would talk to anyone.
Connie leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Charles; her children: Thomas Jones, Lincoln; Kerri (Mark) Petty, St. Paul, MN; James (Jackie) Jones, Sioux Falls, SD; and Amy (Randy) Stollar, Lincoln; and her grandchildren: Jordan Jones, Grace Jones, and Charles Bonge.
She was also the adopted mom to many—especially to her “boys” from Fiji who would often seek her out for advice and comfort—as well as trying to get her to make her McConnie’s more often!
She touch many and we are all grateful and blessed to have had the honor of calling her wife, mom, grandma, friend, and sister.
