To the Verhoeff Family – I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man. In the big picture, I have only been in the family a short time. I have heard so many stories over the years. I would like to share one of my own. Uncle Clyde and his brother Dale, helped move Rodney (Clyde’s nephew – Dale’s son – my husband) back from Boise ID. Clyde had his trailer and we had our truck. During our drive back we got stuck in Laramie, WY because of a snow storm. As there was a concert in town, we got lucky and found a hotel that had ONE room left. We laughed a lot that night. The next morning, we drove down the snowy I-80 mountain, with white knuckles holding on to the steering wheels. We made it safely down and out of the snow into sunny skies.

We already miss Clyde so much! He was the best uncle and such a memorable and giving person…of course, with that unmistakeable beard. He was always willing to help anyone anytime and was just always there! It is a huge loss and still hard to believe we can’t just pick up the phone and call him or stop in. I am truly grateful and blessed to have had Clyde in my life.

– Rodney Verhoeff
