Cloyde L. May, 89, Lincoln, NE died Saturday (2/16/08) at the Monarch. Born on 9/1/18 to John and Mollie (Frimann) May in Chapman, NE. Cloyde was retired as the Head of Grounds Maintenance for the Grand Island Veteran’s Home. He was in the US Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He was a member of the American Legion, Platte Duetsch Society and Lutheran Churches in Grand Island and Yuma, AZ. Cloyde and LaVerna spent twenty great winters in Yuma, AZ where he enjoyed playing golf and the sunny weather.
Survived by daughters and son in laws, Linda and Jay Sears, Lincoln, Susan and Tom Minthorn, Bellevue, WA, Diana May and Rick Munn, Ft. Collins, CO; sons and daughter in laws Michael and Leslie May, Daniel and Michelle May, Omaha; grandchildren, spouse: Amy Sears, Emily Sears, Sarah & Dave Warner, Cameron May, Alex May, Emma May, Mitchell May, Lauren May, Corey May, Andrew May, Samantha Minthorn, Paul Munn; great-grandchildren: Peyton and Addyson Warner. Preceded in death by parents, wives Bernadine and LaVerna, brothers and sisters.
At the request of Cloyde, there will be no memorial service or funeral.
