Clifford J. Walstrom, 89, of Ceresco, NE, died Thursday (10-17-13). Born (3-19-24) in Omaha, NE to Robert H. and Sadie E. (Christensen) Walstrom. Ret. Nebraska State Entomologist for 23 years. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Davey, NE. Clifford served as Chairman of Central Plant Board, Representative on National Plant Board, Chairman of Rocky Mountain Conference of Entomologists, Head of Apiary Inspectors of America.
He was an Instructor in Beekeeping at UNL for 30 years. A lifelong prominent Nebraska Beekeeper. Clifford also raised registered Black Angus cattle. Married to Florence L. Euken in 1950. They celebrated their 60th anniversary on (2-26-10).
Survived by daughter-in-law. Sandra M. Walstrom, Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Jeffrey J. (Julie) Walstrom, Overland Park, KS, Brian J. Walstrom, Blue Springs, MO, Kristin M. (Jon) Korneliussen, Memphis, TN; great grandchildren, Sadie Marie Walstrom, Kathryn Amelia Walstrom and Elsa Marie Korneliussen; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Florence; twin daughters and son, Douglas J. Walstrom; sister, Marilyn Jean Beck; brother, Robert J. Walstrom.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am Friday (10-25-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. with Pastor Kris Bohac officiating, Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
