Clark Sievers Milligan passed away December 9, 2015 at the age of 67. He was born in Omaha, NE on August 2, 1948 to Harland Stieper and Evelyn Sievers Milligan. He grew up in the country outside of Hooper, NE with his family, where he attended Hooper High School and graduated in 1966. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He began his farming and ranching career with his family, both in eastern Nebraska and in the sandhills of western Nebraska.He was an avid lover of the outdoors.
He found peace in the sandhills, and loved living alongside the water. He was an accomplished chef and loved spending time in the kitchen trying out new recipes. Above all, his heart was happiest with family. He was a devoted family man who found pure joy and happiness spending time with his nine grandchildren. Retirement from his ranching career allowed Clark and his wife Marilyn the freedom to enjoy lake time activities with their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed time working outdoors, whether it be with his yard work or fixing up his vintage tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son Matthew Milligan (Ashley) of Weatherford, TX and daughter Molly Crook (Chris) of Lawrence, KS; stepdaughters Katie Ely (Mark), Amy Ferguson (Aron) and Abbie Eisenhart (John), all of Lincoln, NE; sister Gail Wallace of Fremont, NE, sister Sandra Backes of Lincoln, NE; brother Mike Milligan (Pam) of Hooper, NE; brother Tom Milligan (Bev) of Hooper, NE; Bob Milligan (Cynthia) of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren Grace, Ava, Cole, Norah, Davis, Georgie, Spencer, Sam and Gavin and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Clark’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 14th at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln NE.
