Christopher Allen Keetle, April 10, 1977 – January 8, 2015 age 37. Born on Easter morning in Lincoln, Nebraska. Graduated from Southeast High School, 1995 with 4.0 average; University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Regents Scholar and Honors Program, B.S. in Business Administration, 1999 with highest distinction. Chris worked in the Nebraska Legislature for 15 years as a Legislative Aide.
He loved working on public policy issues and with his legislative colleagues. Chris was a member of the Nebraska State Historical Society, loved to play or watch all sports, and was a voracious reader. In college he was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity, numerous honoraries, and the UNL Club Hockey Team.
In high school he was a member of National Honor Society, ran cross country, and played baseball. He ran and exercised diligently. Spending time with his family was a priority. Chris positively impacted the lives of everyone who knew him, and he was so loved by so many.
Chris was an extremely loved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was honorable, kind, generous, and a very humble person. Everyone he met was his friend. The world is a better place because Chris was in it, and all who knew him are better for it.
Survivors include: Parents Roger and Judy, of Lincoln; Brother Steve (Amy) of Omaha; Sister Anne Fargen (Mike) of Lincoln; Nieces and Nephew; Mya and Sopha Keetle, of Omaha; Padraig and Finley Fargen of Lincoln; Grandmother Marie Allen of Lincoln; Friend and former wife Sarah Newell of Lincoln; Girlfriend Sarah Schoenrick of Omaha; Aunts and Uncles Marcilee (Mark) Hergenrader of Lincoln; Ron (Doris) Keetle of Ralston; Elizabeth Meehan of Lincoln; many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Harlan Allen, Glen and Alice Keetle.
Memorial Service 2:00 PM, Wed. 1-14-15 at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St., Lincoln, NE.
Visitation 2-8PM, Tuesday, at Roper & Sons Funeral Services, 4300 “O” St, Lincoln, NE with family greeting friends from 6-8PM.
Private Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Walton.
