Christian Michael Petersen, 61, of Lincoln, died 3/30/2017. Born on 3/27/1956 in Lincoln, NE to Christian and Lillie (Erdmann) Petersen. Philanthropist/Investor. Christian graduated from Judson School in Paradise Valley, AZ and then attended Kearney State College. He was a Member of the Sheldon Art Association, Preservation Association of Lincoln, UNL Art Department, Medici Society, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Capital Humane Society, Planned Parenthood, Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, supporter of the Sunken Gardens Renovation and a member of First Plymouth Congregational Church.
Survived by: Brother, Bill (Kim) Petersen, Wymore, NE; Sister, Karen Hatcher, Lincoln; niece and nephews, Jessie (Brian) Lemerond, Lucas Petersen, Dane Bergmeier and Christian Hatcher. Numerous extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents and infant brother, Donald and dear friend, Judi Gierlich.
