Adam loved computers. From an early age he showed an interest in computer science, mathematics and physics. Adam’s love of math and physics lead him to be part of the high school Science Olympiad team, where he competed locally and across the county against other high schoolers. The friends he made in school were life long friends.
A graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School, he went to UNL for a physics degree and there met his future wife Teresa. Upon graduating from UNL, Adam pursued his dream of programming and began working at Design Data. Wasn’t long after that Avery was born, and Adam became a doting father. Isaac was born 6 years later and after a short amount of time Adam decided to go into business for himself as a computer consultant and computer programmer convention organizer where Nebraska.Code () was born.
He was self employed for several years, and the opportunity to work for a major corporation came to his attention. He began to work for Rocket Mortgage and was a successful programmer and manager, until the housing collapse in 2023. He then went to work for a local company called Travefy.
Adam was a Microsoft MVP from 2013-2018, and the 2014 Kent Tegels Community Spirit Award recipient.
Adam was also a lifelong Husker sports fan. He also enjoyed yearly trips to his heart place, Ten Mile Lake, in northern Minnesota. Other interests include 3 D model/printing, staying abreast of current technology, drinking good bourbon, guitar picking with Isaac and grilling with his daughter with an Old Fashioned in hand.
Adam is survived by his wife of 27 years Teresa; children Avery and Isaac; father Robert; sister, Lisa (Justin) Link, niece Claire and nephew Mason. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, maternal and paternal grandparents.
