Charles F. “Chap” Chappelle, 80, Lincoln, NE, died peacefully at his home Saturday, (1-31-09). Born (6-1-28) in Patoka, IN the son of Charles C. and Bernice (French) Chappelle. Charles was a Christian, a loving husband, and a devoted father. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from insurance sales.
Survivors include wife of 58 years, Norma Joan Chappelle; sons, daughter-in-law: Charles R. Chappelle; Roger L. and Carol A. Chappelle; daughter, son-in-law: Nancy J. and Dirk D. Shoemaker, all of Lincoln; three grandsons: Ryan, Greg and Nathan; four granddaughters: Katy, Emily, Beth and Chloe; sister: Nancy C. Arbuthnot, Princeton, IN; sister-in-law: Barbara B. Gordon, Owensville, IN; niece: Jane A. Cunningham.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (2-4-09) Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Road. Pastor Larry Arganbright officiating. Inurnment in the Sheridan Lutheran Church Columbarium.
