Charles C. Adkins, 78, of College Springs, Iowa, passed away on Friday (01/11/08). Charles was born March 18, 1929 to Charles and Mildred (Bussard) Adkins. Charles worked as a recycler. He was a member of the Calvary Community Church.
Family members include: former wife, Miriam; daughter Patricia Jackson and son-in-law William Francis of Lincoln; son Alan Adkins of Lincoln; son Dennis Adkins and daughter-in-law Billie of Lincoln; son John Adkins and daughter-in-law Debbie of Bolivar, Missouri; five grandchildren: Joe Pershing, Jr., Katie Adkins, Emily Adkins, Paul Tyler Jackson, and Jessica Adkins; and five great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one half-brother.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Pastor Carl Godwin officiating. Prior private committal.
