Carolyn Jean Hatten, 97, of Lincoln, NE completed her journey on January 16, 2021. Born in Omaha, NE, on August 30, 1923, to Leland and Nellie (Needham) Aistrope. She grew up on a farm in Iowa, Carolyn married Thomas Hatten and started their life together in 1947. She retired from the NE Department of Roads, after 18+ years of service. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her other passions included her dog, gardening and Nascar.
Family members include her children; Cecilia Hiatt (Danny Evans) of Beaver, UT; Steve (Karen) Hatten of Lincoln, NE; Dianne McManus of Lafayette. LA; Colleen (Darbie) Doerge of Hansville, WA; Mark (Rita) Hatten of Lincoln, NE; Jeffrey (Toni) Hatten of Seely Lake, MT; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas and brother Donald.
A private family celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021.
