Mom-I miss you everyday. It’s a year now that you’ve been gone and I still have to remind myself you’re not at the other end of the phone line or an email away. You’re in a far better place. So much has changed since you left-the house, all that was in it, but most of you and how you made 10711 home. We are all venturing on. New faces, new places and slowly mending hurts in our hearts where you are forever cherished and loved. We see you and hear you in our minds as memories of you, your advice, prayers, comfort, listening ear, patience, persistent demand for obedience, and quiet strength come to echo in the quiet stillness of your absence from us. We know you’re with your Lord. He took you from your pain and tent of humanity to a home of perfection and Light. But we remain here. Our tears, echoes of your voice, desire for togetherness and wanting to hug our “little Mom” will never go away- Thank you for teaching us that in Christ we are forgiven, made whole and have the eternal promise of living with Him in Heaven someday. And I truly know I’ll see you there too, a saint in Glory! I love you, Mom. Always have. Always will.
