Carol Lorimer, 80, of Lincoln, NE, died Wednesday (7-10-13). She was born on Valentine’s Day, 1933, in Council Bluffs, IA. Carol married the love of her life, Richard Lorimer, in 1957. He preceded her in death in 2007. Carol had a strong faith in God, and one of the great pleasures of her life was hearing her son preach at church every week. Her family remembers her class, style, and great smile … and the way she always locked the door behind you the minute you left the house.
Carol is survived by daughter Jacque Knapp and her husband Ted; daughter Ranee Henniger and her husband Pat; and son Rick Lorimer and his wife Wendy. Carol’s grandchildren are Jessica Knapp, Cassie Kodama and husband Shogo, Ricky Lorimer and wife Jaclyn, Joshua Lorimer, Kate Riley and husband Lance, Aly Henniger and Logan Henniger; along with great-grandson Shuumei Kodama. Carol is also survived by her siblings Bill Hines, Gary Hines, Lynda Uleman and husband Jim Bichel as well as sisters-in-law Jackie Kalal and husband Don, and Dody McGinnis. Carol also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.
Services at Christ’s Place Church, 1111 Old Cheney Rd, on Tuesday July 23 at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be sent to Christ’s Place Church in honor of Carol.
Visitation: 2-8 pm Monday with family present from 6-8 pm. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
