Carol Lavonne Williams

December 5, 1943 - September 22, 2022

Carol Lavonne Williams, 78 of Lincoln, NE, passed away on September 22, 2022, at Country House, Lincoln, NE. She was born on December 5, 1943 in Neodesha, KS. She was the daughter of James Collis and Bertha (Ritz) Purdy and stepdaughter of Shirley Purdy.

Carol was strong in her faith, loved animals and enjoyed feeding the neighborhood wildlife. Carol sold her homemade baked goods under the name Bakers Favorites in the Farmers Market, known for her kolaches, cookies, breads and rolls. She had also been a daycare and foster care provider and coordinator for many neighborhood and charitable activities. She had also enjoyed taking karate lessons with her kids.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roger Williams, daughter, Julie Rolf (Dale), two sons, James Williams (Kay) and Jason Williams (Jodie), and five grandchildren, Courtney Rolf, Carrie, Garret, Jordan, and Jarred Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with a viewing 1 hour prior to services, at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 S 70th St, Lincoln, NE. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the funeral services. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE at 2:00 PM.

Memorial contributions in Carol’s name can be made to the Lincoln Berean Church or the Capital Humane Society.
