Brian E. Unger, 28, of Lincoln, passed away April 4, 2017. Born on April 23, 1988 in Lincoln, NE to James and Shannon (Ray) Unger. Graduate of Southeast H. S. and UNL with degrees in Psychology, Computer Science and English. Avid games and card player who loved sushi and movies. Scored well on his LSAT, planned to apply to Law School. A computer whiz who could fix almost any tech problem. Brian especially loved his family and his dogs. Known for his hilarious dry and witty sense of humor.
Family members include parents, Jim and Shannon; sister, Jamie and fiancé, Chris Beaner; grandmothers, Dorothy Applebee and Zola Melichar; numerous extended family and friends. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Harvey (Bud) Ray, Bobby Melichar, and Aaron Unger.
Celebration of Brian’s Life: 10:00 am Saturday, April 8th at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Frank Proffer officiating. Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Roper and Sons.
Memorials may be made to Horizons Community Church or the family for future designation.
