Obituary

Brandon Michael Taylor

June 22, 1983 - June 3, 2022

Brandon Michael Taylor, 38, left this Earth to find new roads to cycle on.

Born on June 22, 1983 to Christie L. Taylor and Raymond M. Taylor in Bennet, Nebraska. He lived in this area most of his life. Brandon attended Bennet Elementary and went on to Palmyra Jr. and Sr. High School. After suffering a traumatic brain injury his sophomore year, Brandon worked tirelessly throughout his junior year summer to catch up to his peers and graduate high school in 2001. After graduation, Brandon worked at both Russ’ Market and Super Saver where he supported many positions within the stores. His friendly demeanor and can-do spirit was noticed throughout his years of service. Brandon also enjoyed spending time riding anything with two wheels. He was an avid cyclist on Nebraska roads and dirt bike trails. He grew up with a passion for riding, and it continued throughout his life. Brandon showed unwavering courage while enjoying adventures with family and friends despite his constant battle with memory loss. He spent time in Atlanta, Georgia where he enjoyed the night life, nature, and Southern food. In his 38 years, Brandon showed us all how to cherish life with all its ups and downs.

Family members include his father, Raymond, Bennet; Travis and Jillian, Lincoln; Trevor and Kelley, Atlanta; nephews Jake, Harrison, and Reid; niece Brooklynn; grandparents Twila and Jack, Lincoln; Uncle Kevin, Lincoln; numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by mother, Christie L. Taylor; Grandparents Phyllis and Junior

Brandon was my first friend I ever had. Amazing person with a heart of gold. We were childhood friends and glad I still got to see him occasionally in my adulthood. My condolences to the Taylor Family. You are in a better place watching over us all with your mom and your grandparents my friend and will be missed very much.

My heart aches in a way I can not explain. I remember him saying his first word after the accident…BROWNIE! I remember letting him listen to Master P. I remember so many hours spent with him and Trevor back in high school. He never lost contact with me. Recently he had even sent messages asking how I was and where I lived now. I have memories with him and his family that are impossible to forget. I often pray for them all and will continue to do so. I find comfort knowing he is in God’s hands and that he feels no pain. My condolences go to his family…try to remember what makes you smile and remember grief is honor. I love you all and am praying for comfort for you all.
