Betty Ann Dappen, 76, Lincoln, died Thursday (11-3-11). Born (5-6-35) in Seward, Nebraska to Carl and Leona (Zillig) Westerhoff. Ret. Owner/Operator – Betty’s Drapery Business. Member: First United Methodist Church, Lincoln Quilters Guild, founding board member of Fabulous Finds (church thrift shop), Bowling Association and numerous card clubs. Volunteer as church membership secretary and with several church organizations, and Special Services UNL (taping for blind students).
Family members include husband Joe; son, daughter-in-law: Alan and Jann Dappen, Omaha, NE; daughters, sons-in-law: Diane and Ken Rousek, Lincoln, NE, Janet and Roger Hughes, Denver, CO; grandchildren: Matthew and Justin Rousek, Kayla and Keegan Hughes, Chelsea, Ariel and Kari Dappen; sister, brother-in-law: Joyce and Willis Heim, Naples, FL; brother, sister-in-law: Gary and Genene Westerhoff, Lincoln, NE. Preceded in death by parents.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (11-7-11) First United Methodist Church, 2723 North 50th. Pastor Larry Moffet, officiating. Prior private interment.
