Arthur W. Brandt, 91, of Lincoln, formerly of Plattsmouth and Omaha, NE, died (1-29-14). Born (1-26-23) in Shelby, NE to John, Sr. and Edith (Inness) Brandt.
Graduated from Shelby High School class of 1940. Served in the U.S. Army attaining rank of Staff SGT. Inf. Main assignment G.S. Division Versailles and Reims France as well as Frankfort and Berlin Germany and is a life member of VFW Post 131 in Lincoln.
Survived by daughter, Mary Brandt, Peach Tree, GA; sons, Mark, Michael and Matthew, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jeff and Suzanne Karros, Cassandra and James Trask, Melanie and Adam Burriesce, Steven Brandt, Nick and Courtney Brandt, Melissa and Chadwick Gandall, Jessica Brandt, Sydney Brandt, Casey Brandt, Amy Brandt, as well as great grandchildren, Torey, Jeff Jr., Lana, Michael, Mattingly, Alaina, Ayva, Beckett, Trevon, Olivia, Aiden and Jaden.
Preceded in death by wife, Phyllis M. (Braithwait), infant daughter, LuAnn, parents, brother, John T., sisters, Helen (Simmons), Alma (Hasselbach) and Edith (Carroll).
Funeral Service: 10:00 am Friday (2-7-14) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Dan Safarik officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Memorial Park, Omaha, NE with military honors. Family will greet friends from 6-8 Thursday at Roper and Sons.
