Anthony R. “Tony” Schkade, Ph.D, 71, Lincoln, NE, died Sunday (12-16-12). Born (8-10-41) in Shackelford County, TX to August and Margaret (Mickan) Schkade. Ret. Assistant Director of Registration and Records at UNL from 1976-2010. Anthony was a member, elder, usher and school board president at Lutheran Churches. He loved gardening and was known as “Mr. Fix-it”.
He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Lisa (Tim) Davis, Arlington, VA; son, Todd (Juli) Schkade, Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Channing, Naomi and Noah Schkade, Amelia Davis; sister, Sylvia Thomson, Richardson, TX; brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Schkade, Wichita Falls, TX, Victor (Nancy) Schkade, Broken Arrow, OK; sister-in-law, Patricia Schkade, Boulder City, NV; mother-in-law, Luella Hett, Ft. Dodge, IA; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and brother Donald.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, (12-19-12) Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Lane with Pastor Clint Poppe officiating. Burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Ft. Dodge, IA.
