Ann Marie (Wieker) Williams, 67, departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in her home in Lincoln, Nebraska, after a nearly year-long battle with cancer. She was born in West Point, Nebraska on January 26, 1948. Ann grew up in Havelock and graduated from Northeast High School.
She met the love of her life, Larry James Williams, on a blind date, and they married on January 6, 1968. They built a life together for 47 years. Ann was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother to their two children, while her husband worked at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company plant. After 20 years of living in Waverly, Ann found her dream home in Lincoln, where she enjoyed her fish pond and beautifying her patio. Ann loved planting flowers, and she grew some of the best tomatoes around. Ann’s sense of humor and uniqueness will never be duplicated. She brightened the days of all those around her. Ann was a passionate animal lover and especially devoted to her dogs, Bella and Peaches (and many other dogs which she had throughout her years).
