Andrea V. (Vicky) Eppens

March 4, 1937 - August 25, 2025

Andrea Victoria (Vicky) Eppens, 88, of Lincoln passed away August 25, 2025. Born in Walsenburg, CO to Eustaquio and Elvria (Vigil) Ribali.

Vicky attended Huerfano County High School and graduated in May 1958; she also attended Switchboard (PBX) and Receptionist school in Denver, CO and graduated in October 1958.

Vicky worked for the May Company in Los Angeles, CA, later meeting her future husband James Edward Eppens and was married June 10, 1961, in Los Angeles, CA. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved gardening, canning and taking care of their three children, Edward, Marie, and Vera. Vicky worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital after the children left home for ten years and retired in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was a devoted Catholic her whole life.

Family members include her son Edward (Christina Peters) Eppens, Lincoln; daughters Marie Eppens (Jay Hutchinson), Linden, WA, and Vera and Chade Anderson, Lincoln; grandchildren Leif Strathaway, Hanna Miller, Gavin Jeffers (wife Dusty), Marlaina Eppens, and Connor Eppens; great grandchildren Keigan Hetrick, Macy Eppens, and Aleah Cassell. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Jess Riball, sister Francis Garbiso, and husband James.

Graveside service: 10:00 am Tuesday, September 2, 2024, Calvary Cemetery, 3880 L Street, Lincoln, NE.
