Robert A. Metheny, 88, Lincoln, died Wednesday (9-28-11). Born ((3-25-23) in Havelock, Nebraska to Samuel Earl and Mabel Frances (Gall) Metheny. Ret. Advertising Executive. WWII U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Graduate of the University of Nebraska (1949). Member: Eastridge Presbyterian Church, Liberty Lodge #300, A.F. & A.M., Sesostris Temple of the Shrine, Scottish Rite, Phi Delta Theta. Robert was very proud to serve his country as a Marine.
Family members include daughter, Diane S. Metheny, Lincoln; son, daughter-in-law: Steven E. and Maureen Metheny, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Preceded in death by parents, wife Norma, brother Donald.
Memorial Service: 10:00 am Monday (10-3-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Pastor Tom Webb, officiating.
