Roseline Wudel

November 30, 1922 - November 14, 2015

Roseline Wudel, 92, of Lincoln, passed away November 14, 2015. Born November 30, 1922 in Dimock, SD to Herman and Gertrude (Scheetz) Struck. Baptized June 21, 1923 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Dimock, SD and confirmed July 5, 1936.

Roseline attended grade school in rural Douglas County, SD and graduated from Parkston High School in 1941. She married Louis Wudel on February 3, 1946, and moved to Parkston where they owned and operated a service station. In 1957 they moved to Armour, SD after purchasing its Chevrolet dealership. In 1971, they moved to Yankton, SD to own and operate another auto dealership, until their retirement in 1986. They moved to Lincoln, NE in 2001 to be closer to family.

For 40 years, she was the office manager and bookkeeper for the businesses. She enjoyed politics and was the chair of the county Republican Women Organization for several years. She was active in the church Sunday School, choir, and women’s auxiliary. She enjoyed all of her family’s sports activities and remained an avid sports fan.

Roseline is survived by her sons, Robert (Leslie), Russell (Eileen), and Jim (Sarah) Wudel; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Katelyn, Max and Emma.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (11-21-15) Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner Street with Dr. Luke Schnake officiating. Burial in Parkston, SD on Sunday (11-22-15) at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Gunderson officiating.

Memorials to the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Yankton, SD. No Visitation.
