Charles Martin Jetton Jr, ‘Marty’, at the age of 82 years, entered into God’s presence on December 13, 2015 at home with his loving wife by his side. Marty was born on August 21, 1933 in Oakland, California. After graduating from High School Marty joined the US Air Force where he served for over 13 years, he was recently recognized for his time served.
He married Marylinn Johns of Lincoln, Nebraska on June 25, 1955. He was the owner and operator of American Refuse for nearly 30 years. The Jetton’s lovingly served together at their church for more than 43 years, traveling frequently with other members. Marty was passionate about his love for Christ and dedicated to sharing God’s word with everyone he met. Marty and Marylinn recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Family members include, wife Marylinn Jetton; daughters Kristi Jetton and Lori Erickson, son-in-law Scott Erickson. Marty had 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and beloved dog, Oscar. Preceded in death by his daughter Kim Harms.
Services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Indian Hill Community Church.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Sound Words Ministry c/o Indian Hills Community Church.
Visitation one hour prior to service time at the church.
