John R. “Dick” Gidley, 77, of Lincoln, passed away May 27, 2015. Born August 23, 1937, in Lawrence, MA to Frederick and Jean (Fairweather) Gidley. John worked 23 years in the furniture industry, owned three restaurants and also worked at Hy-Vee and Dillard’s.
Family members include his wife, Peggy Gidley; son, Tom (Kim) Gidley; grandchildren, John (Kayla) Gidley and Chele Gidley; great-grandchildren, Dannon and Colton Pekny, Tennyson Rivera, Zoey and Lylah Gidley; sister, Priscilla (Arthur) Awley; and many other loving friends and relatives. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Laurie Joan; and beloved step-mother, Peg Gidley.
No Services are planned. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Saturday (5-30-15) with family present from 5-8 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
