Ferne C. Furrer, 90, of Lincoln, passed away December 8, 2016. Born May 10, 1926 to Roy and Clara (Haviland) Clymer in Garrison, NE. Member of New Hope United Methodist Church (formerly Warren United Methodist Church), UNL Ceres Club, United Methodist Women, and a graduate of Lincoln School of Commerce. Married John D. Furrer on March 17, 1951.
Survivors include her children, Jim (Lynne) Furrer of Littleton, CO, Roger (Malia Robinson) Furrer of Adams, NE, Sandra (John) Strain of Lincoln, Susan (Rich) Torpin of Walton, NE; grandchildren, Sheridan, Megan (Chris), Kelsey (Nicky), Seth (Jena), Trevor (Ching Ting), Heather (Chris); great grandchildren, Madelyn Mae and Veronica Ferne; siblings, Ilene Taylor, George (Beverly) Clymer, Betty Reed. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Forrest; sisters, Katheryn and Mary Louise.
Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday (12-13-16) at New Hope United Methodist Church, 1205 N 45th St. Visitation with family greeting friends, 5p.m.-7p.m., Monday (12-12-16) at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ St. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery.
