Maren K. Geiger, 68, of Lincoln, passed away June 16, 2015. Born March 23, 1947 in Rochester, MN to Lloyd and Agnes (Kloster) Kaldor. Homemaker. A devoted wife and mother. Graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in English and Psychology, lived in Minneapolis and Moorhead Minnesota before settling in Lincoln. Active in church choir and groups, a voracious reader of literature, an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and professional tennis, connected to her Norwegian heritage, loved birds and nature.
Family members include her daughters, Rachel Ann Geiger (Eric Yurkovich) and Miriam Ruth Geiger, all of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Lydia and Eleanor Yurkovich; mother-in-law, Ruth Geiger, Minden, IA. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Mathias Geiger.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (6-20-15) Frist-Plymouth Chapel, 2000 ‘D’ Street with Rev. Kathryn Campbell officiating.
Burial of cremains will be in Minden, IA at a later date.
Memorials to American Cancer Society and the Nature Conservancy. No Visitation/Cremation.
