Oscar LeRoy Bouwens, 86, of Lincoln, passed away November 11, 2015. Born August 21, 1929 in Princeton, NE to Benjamin and Bertha (Rap) Bouwens. Ret. American Stores. U. S. Navy Veteran. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Oscar loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Family members include his wife, Janiece; sons, Ron (Carrie), Don (Sandy) and Dave (Donna) Bouwens, all of Lincoln; daughter, Sue (Dick) Rockenbach, Eagle; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 step great- grandchildren; brother, Clarence “Butch” (Janet) Bouwens, Gretna; sister, Cathy (Mike) Oenbring, Lincoln; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Buelah.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday (11-16-15) Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 South 84th Street.
