Gary Alan Janssen, 71, Waverly, was welcomed into Heaven on April 19, 2017 in Lincoln. Born October 16, 1945 in Beatrice, NE to Andrew and Dorothy (Miller) Janssen. Ret. Utility Maintenance Engineer for the City of Waverly for 35+ years. U. S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran. Member of Peace Lutheran Church, Waverly, V.F.W. Post #9875, and Safety Committee for City of Waverly. Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, bird watching, and loved spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie L.; daughters, Cindy (Rod) Meier, Waverly, Anna (Ryan) Manning, Omaha; son, Dan Janssen, Lincoln; grandchildren, Jordan, Meghan, George and Harry; brother, Dennis (Carolyn) Janssen, Lincoln; sister, Diane (Don) Jewell, Weeping Water. Preceded in death by parents; nephews, Craig and Brian.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (4-22-17) Peace Lutheran Church, 9831 North 145th Street, Waverly. 2:00 p.m. Interment at Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice, NE.
