Marvin R. “Bud” Ficken, 84, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday (12-26-13) at home. Born (8-16-29) in Seward County, NE to John W. and Helen (Minzel) Ficken. Marv was known as the “Lincoln Man” as he was in the car business for more than 60 years. Married to his beloved Donna Ann for 65 years who preceded in death in 2012, also sister Elinor. Member of American Legion Post #3 and East Lincoln Lodge #210, A.F. & A.M.
Family members include his son, Rich (Claire) Ficken, grandson, Spencer all of Yucaipa, CA; daughter, Linda (John) O’Brien, Sacramento, CA; niece, Carolyn “Kay” Wood, Lincoln, NE and his beloved yorkie “Cookie”; sister-in-law, Nancy (Bob) Hubbell and family of Sacramento, CA; and other family members and many dear friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (1-4-14) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Chaplain David Dermann officiating. Luncheon to follow funeral service at Roper and Sons.
