Viola P. Mueller, 102, of Lincoln, died Thursday (2-9-12). Born (6-27-09) in Amherst, Nebraska to Carl Henry and Johanna Josephine (Schukar) Labs. Married on September 23, 1934 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amherst. Ret. Bookkeeper, Farmer’s Union Co-Op in Kearney, NE.
She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Viola enjoyed gardening, especially African Violets. She also enjoyed music, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school.
Family members include daughter, son-in-law: Mona and David Houser, Hillsboro, MO; daughter-in-law: Joyce Mueller, Lincoln, NE; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Hazel Labs, Amherst, NE; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, husband William C. Mueller, son Carl William Mueller, sisters Velma Schnacker Hallier, Wanda Owen, Irma Axmann, brothers Rueben and Gerhardt Labs.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday (2-18-12) Trinity Lutheran Church, 107 N. Cherry, Amherst, NE. Pastor Dean Hanson, officiating. Interment in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Amherst, NE.
