Kathryn “Tish” Druliner, 83, of Lincoln died on June 9, 2013, with her family at her side.
Tish was born on March 31, 1930, to C.E. (“Swannie”) and Helen Swanson. She grew up in Lincoln and attended the University of Nebraska where she was a member of Delta Gamma and Mortar Board. Tish was an active community volunteer her entire life. Tish was President of the Junior League of Lincoln in 1964-65 and an active Delta Gamma alumnae.
She was the first woman to serve on the Board of Directors of the Cooper Foundation, served on the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Lincoln and Bryan Hospital, was Chair of the Friends of Lied and volunteered for Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Lincoln Symphony, United Way and Nebraska Educational Television. She chaired the Board of the National Society to Prevent Blindness-Nebraska Section. Tish was named Arthritis Foundation Woman of the Year in 1995 and received a University of Nebraska Alumni Achievement Award in 2001.
Tish was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen Swanson, her aunt Ruth Hovland, her brother James Swanson, her niece Jamie Swanson Ruud. Tish is survived by her husband Jerome Druliner of Lincoln, Nebraska and her three children and their spouses: Lisa (Chip) DeBuse of Lincoln, Jim (Amy) Druliner of Omaha, and Abbie (Bill) Burton of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family memorial service.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Country Club of Lincoln on July 6 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
