George Raymond Hildreth, Sr.

November 17, 1933 - January 12, 2012

George Raymond Hildreth, Sr., of Lincoln, died Thursday (1-12-12). Born (11-17-33) in Omaha, Nebraska the middle child of seven children to John W. and Winona (Sanders) Hildreth. He had two brothers, Jack and Roger, four sisters, Elaine, Arlene, Alice and Clara. George worked at a very young age, ending with 30 years at the Star Tran bus company retiring at the age of 71.

George did suffer several strokes. He passed away at home with all his family present. He is now in heaven with his family and his Lord and Saviour at the age of 78 years old.

George was an honorary and loyal member who donated and contributed to several charitable causes.

Thank you George Raymond Hildreth, Sr. You were truly a hero. George taught at Arthur Murray and Sckol Hall ballroom dancing in his younger days and worked at several places to raise his family.

We love you Dad, and Daddy-O, may peace be with you.

George is survived by his sister Clara Rathjen and brother Roger Hildreth, also his 13 children, Sherri Weisenfluh, John Warner, Carol Wolfe, Melody Kramer, Rebecca Stearns, Robin Grimm, Lori Livingston, Tammy Hoffman, Kristi Scaggs, George Hildreth, Jr., Allison Pfiel, Randall Hildreth, and Donald Hildreth, also 70 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (1-14-12) The Salvation Army Chapel, 2625 Potter. Captain James Pennington, officiating.
