Merlin “Swede” “Bud” Erickson, 83, Lincoln, died Wednesday (12-12-12) in Lincoln. He was born (12-20-28) at Oakland, NE to Elim and Esther (Hansen) Erickson. Retired Agricultural Economist for the U.S.D.A and UNL-College of Business Administration Bureau of Business Research. Member of First Evangelical Free Church, Norden Club and Match Club.
Family includes: son & daughter-in-law, Linn and Brenda Erickson; daughter, Keri Erickson, both of Lincoln; grandchildren, Charis Erickson, Ezra Erickson, Nebraska Grayson and Revelation Grayson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded on death by his parents, wife, Lila and sister, Vernelle Rasmus.
Funeral Service 10:00 AM, Monday (12-17-12) at First Evangelical Free Church, 3280 S. 84th St., Lincoln, NE. Burial 3:00 PM at the Salem Cemetery, Oakland, NE. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday (12-16-12) with family greeting friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
