Marilynn C. Keiner

August 6, 1938 - November 30, 2025

Marilynn C. Keiner, 87, of Lincoln passed away surrounded by three generations of family on November 30, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1938, in Lincoln, NE to Charles and Marie (Schulze) Burchess, Jr. Marilynn was baptized October 2, 1938, and was confirmed March 29, 1951 both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Marilynn was unwavering in her faith.

Marilynn was a Northeast Rocket and graduated with the Class of 1956. During high school she worked part time at the cafeteria in the YWCA. Following graduation she began her career of 39 years as a revenue accountant for Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph (LT&T).

Marilynn was united in marriage with Norman Keiner on August 30, 1958. The union was blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Jacqueline. Marilynn and Norman shared 37 years of marriage before Norman’s passing in 1996.

She enjoyed time in the kitchen; putting up jelly, baking bread, canning garden produce, and home cooking. She also liked knitting, playing cards, and Scrabble. Marilynn anticipated their annual family camping vacations to various National Parks. Some days just a simple ride in the country was welcomed.

At age 49, she began her favorite role as grandma. She was affectionately known as Grams to five grandchildren and seven (+) great-grandsons. She was committed to actively sharing their interests and appreciated each for their own talents.

Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, Michelle Wolf of Lincoln, and Jacqueline Keiner-Jones (Jim) of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Phillip (Allison), Nicholas (Kayleigh), Benjamin (Maggie) Wolf, Jordan (Ryan) Milke of Maryville, MO and Gracelynn Jones of Sioux Falls, SD; seven great-grandsons, Ira, Ezra, and Franklin, Kason and Kaiser, and Hugh Wolf, and Simon Milke.

Preceded in death by her husband, Norman Keiner; son-in-law, Randy Wolf; and siblings, Constance Landers, Rita White and Edward Burchess.

Funeral service: 10:30 am Friday, December 5, 2025, Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams Street.

Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, December 4, 2025, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
