Diana was a lifelong Eagle resident, attended and graduated from Eagle High School. After school she was a self-employed beauty operator at “House of Hair” and a file clerk at Continental Western. She worked at Eagle Raceway, making numerous friends in the process and drove a bus for Waverly and Eagle Schools taking the kids to many of their sporting events.
In 1960 she was a part of one of the first fast pitch softball teams as a catcher, coached by her father, in Lincoln, and even ended up coaching in her later years. Also being a huge supporter of the Huskers and Kansas City Royals Baseball.
She was a member of the Eagle United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary (Post 197), and National Cosmetology Association.
Family members include, sons, Scott McNeese(Kerri Hiatt) and Chad McNeese, brother, Randy (Deb) Root, grandchildren, Cody McNeese and Hadley Hiatt.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Stanley Root and sister-in-law, Sandy Root.
Visitation will take place Monday November 24, 2025, from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. Lincoln, NE.
Funeral will take place at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday November 25, 2025, at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel with reception to follow.
