She was active in softball and basketball at Lincoln High School where she graduated. She worked at Carol Wright Sales for many years, where she met her husband, Kevin Garrison. She then transitioned over to Pfizer/Zoetis. She medically retired from Zoetis in February 2025 after battling ovarian cancer for 5 years.
Kevin and Veronica were married for 36 years and had blended their families together which resulted in having 5 daughters.
Veronica loved watching sports of all kinds, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She enjoyed HGTV, Food Network, and doing word searches. She loved spending time with all the babies.
Veronica is survived by her husband Kevin Garrison. Her daughters Jennifer (Michael) Fleming, Jacqui Garrison (Mark Giesler), Kelli (Ty) Garrelts, Katie (Levi) Morris, Amber (Zach) Schneider. Her grandchildren Ethan and Addison Fleming, Leora and Oscar Garrelts, and Maelynn Morris. Her mother Marjorie (Hart) Schwabauer. Her brothers Bryan (Natalee) Hart and Jeff Hart. Her nieces Sarah Bettger and family, Samantha Burkhart, and Madelyne Hart. Her in-laws, Dwayne and Roma Jean (Mattson) Garrison.
Preceded in death by her sister Katherine Hart, father Larry Hart, and stepfather, Walter Schwabauer.
Her funeral service will be held on November 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons South Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE 68516). Visitation will be on the same day at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery (6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512).
