Ed was the BEST teacher I ever had. He inspired me and I’m sure all of his students. A great man.

Sorry for your loss , I met Ed when he came to visit us in Scotland many years ago. From the moment I met Ed I knew I would like him, he had a big personality and was easy to get on with. I took Ed and Lois to see the Roman Wall aka Hadrians Wall and he was very interested. He was a good man and I know a lot of people will miss him .

Mr. Kemble was my favorite teacher at East High. He made every class enjoyable and filled with energy. I told him years later he was my inspiration to become a history teacher and he apologized for inspiring me to a world of poverty. I know he was joking but I’m not sure he knew how rewarding a career it’s been! Thoughts and prayers to the Kemble family for the loss of a truly unique and special man!

Our dad (Roger Klopp) held deep love and admiration for “Uncle Ed.” We grew up hearing stories of their mutual childhood shinanigans 🙂 I developed my own love and admiration for Uncle Ed and Aunt Lois, observing their walk in this world from afar. They were thinkers and learners. They exuded joy, positivity, and kindness. I especially appreciated reading Ed’s letters to my dad, in their later years — filled with memories, appreciation, and thoughtful reflections on current events. I’m grateful to have known him.

Mr Kemble taught me how to think at Lincoln East High School. Not everyone learns how to think, and it was the gift of a lifetime. No one ever knows all the good that flows from their actions. He impacted so many. My condolences to the family, what a wonderful guy.

When I started working at Brookestone of Papillion, I didn’t know that I would meet one of the most wonderful individuals I would ever have the pleasure of knowing. Ed loved to talk about his extensive collection of election pins and share his knowledge on the Civil War. He was especially proud though, of the paintings in his room and would talk about the July 4th barbecues they hosted for years. The biggest thing I will always remember about Ed is the way his face lit up when he saw that we had painted one of his walls in the wonderfully orange color of Mango Madness. Was it perfect? No- but to him it was. I will miss bringing him Chili Rellenos from El Bee’s, and I will absolutely miss Ed.
