Sylvia A. Burklund, 94, Wahoo, formerly of Lincoln, widow of Paul, died Wednesday (5-27-09). Born (1-26-15) in Ft. Morgan, Colorado to Carl and Frances (Harlow) Witt.
Ret. Secretary to the State Director of the Selective Service System for 33 years.
Member: Saint Paul United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women; life member – Lincoln General Hospital Auxiliary; Chapter EE, PEO; DOES; Republican Women’s Club; Honorary Life Member – Norden Club.
Family members include brother, sister-in-law: Walter E. and Geraldine Witt, Lincoln; sister: Doris Fiedler, Grand Island; godson, spouse: Jerry and Barbara Burklund, Ceresco; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. Preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers, Carl and Harold, sisters, Mildred, Helen, Rose, Edith and Anna.
